Personality, professionalism, passion, consistency, and knowledge are all the goodies a teacher needs to captivate and activate his/ her classroom.

Teacher's Personality

A teacher’s personality forms a great part of how students perceive us. In other words, it is the premise of acceptance or rejection of the teacher. In making this count, it is important that teachers demonstrate flexibility and make a deliberate effort to appeal to their youthful exuberance.

Teacher's Professionalism and Passion

Students judge us based on how seriously we approach our job and the passion or love that we execute our lessons with. Passion adds “flavor’ to teaching and makes the experience fun. Most students treat our subjects the way we treat them.

Teacher's Consistency

This speaks to our reliability of standard in the delivery of the total teacher which includes but is not limited to subject content, attendance, dressing, speech, principles, values, and assessment activities among others.

Teacher's Knowledge

Our knowledge communicates our cognitive command of the subject matter. Students ‘count’ on knowledgeable teachers. They love to know that their teachers are well-read and can be used as a reputable source. A knowledgeable teacher is one who has earned a high classroom confidence index from his or her students.
