PD Coach: Shadae Morgan
Shadae Morgan is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica where she obtained a Bachelors of Education in Business and Computer Studies (Hons.) in 2018. She has over five (5) years of teaching experience and is currently a teacher at the St. Catherine High School where she teaches a number of subjects including Principles of Business, Information Technology and Electronic Document Preparation and Management. She is an executive member of the St. Catherine High School Professional Learning Community where she holds the post of Certifying Officer. Through this platform, she has held a number of training sessions on Creating and Designing the E-Portfolio using the Teacher Appraisal Instrument. She is also a member of the Cutting-Edge Collaborators Professional Learning Community in Quality Education Circle 62 (QEC 62). She is very enthusiastic about professional growth and development and as such, holds certifications from the Jamaica Teaching Council in Teaching to Reach Boys, Strategies for Exciting Reluctant Learners and Appraising Your Way to Excellence; amongst others. She is also a JTC Trained Mentor and therefore a member of the Mentor’s Association of Jamaica. Her educational philosophy is guided by the words of the great Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful tool which can be used to change the world”.
