Hello! My name is Kimberly Miller. I’m very passionate about education and absolutely love teaching! I’m a lifelong learner myself and know that education is the pathway to a fulfilled life. I have two children, Victoria and Braxton, who are my world. I’m also a doggy mom to Deuce. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, K-12 Remedial Reading and K-12 Math. I also have a Master’s Degree from William Carey University in Special Education: Mild & Moderate Disabilities and Psychometrics. Currently, I am two courses away from a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. I taught for ten years before moving into a leadership role as an Academic Coach and MTSS Specialist. I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, gifted, transition, day treatment, Geometry and 6th grade Math. I am currently a Psychometrist and 504 District Specialist with Hattiesburg Public School District. I have worked in the same district for 19 years. I have researched curriculum and interventions my entire career. I have a plethora of interventions that work and engage students in Reading and Math. I’m also certified in Orton-Gillingham which is a multi- sensory approach to Reading that is specialized for students with dyslexia. I would describe myself as energetic, passionate, persistent, consistent and positive. I believe that all children can learn especially when relationships are formed and encouragement is rendered. There is not a problem that we can’t solve together! You can learn anything and you will! ?
