Hello! My name is Ms. Ashley Phillips and I’m one of the Psychology tutors at REACH Educational Services. I tutor Introductory, Developmental, Clinical, and Cognitive Psychology; Psychopathology and Research Methods. I hold an honours degree in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Ethnic Studies. I also hold certifications in SPSS (statistical software), Microsoft Excel, conducting research with human participants, facilitating difficult conversations and effective listening. In 2018, Lawrence University bestowed me with the Edwin H. Olson Award in Human Services Award for being one of the two best psychology seniors and having the potential to make significant contributions to mental health. I also received the Gervais E. & Mary K. Reed Senior Award for exemplifying and/or demonstrating academic achievement, service to others and commitment to the common good. For more than five years I have tutored persons from all over the world with different first languages, diverse educational and research interests, and a wide range of learning styles and speeds. I am confident that we can work together to explain and understand any topic or concept, improve note-taking and studying skills, or develop any research paper that you would like to work on. Outside of tutoring, I run a small business, listen to all genres of music (except techno) and visit rivers across Jamaica.
